What is a Responsive Design and Why is it So Important?
The responsive designs listed above “respond” to the screen width of the viewing devices being used to access them. This has become increasingly important over the last couple of years, due to the dramatic increase in the use of mobile devises such as smart phones and tablets to view the Internet. Mobile use now accounts for as much as half of the traffic on many of the sites I maintain. Mobile friendly, responsive designs rearrange page elements to adapt to the viewing device being used, providing visitors with a better user experience regardless of whether they are using a small handheld device like an iPhone or a 24 or even 30 inch desktop monitor.
The illustration above shows how a website responds to a variety of screen widths.
Let me build you a responsive website!
If the site I built for you in the past isn’t responsive, then it’s time for a site makeover.
